
Tofu Teriyaki Delight Recipe

Ingredients:
- - 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- - 1/4 cup soy sauce
- - 2 tablespoons mirin
- - 2 tablespoons sake
- - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- - 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- - 1 clove garlic, minced
- - 1/2 cup broccoli florets
- - 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- - 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- - Sesame seeds for garnish
- - Cooked rice for serving
Instructions:
- 1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Set aside.
- 2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned on all sides. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- 3. Add the broccoli and carrots to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly tender-crisp.
- 4. Pour the teriyaki sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- 5. Return the tofu to the skillet and coat it evenly with the sauce. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the tofu is coated in a glossy glaze.
- 6. Stir in the chopped green onions during the last minute of simmering.
- 7. Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the Tofu Teriyaki Delight to a serving bowl.
- 8. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot over cooked rice.
