Mango Lassi Shake Recipe
Description:
Two tall glasses filled to the brim with a vibrant, golden-orange Mango Lassi Shake. The thick, creamy texture is evident, with tiny ice crystals adding to its appealing look. A dusting of finely chopped pistachios adds a touch of green, contrasting beautifully with the orange hue. The glasses are slightly chilled, creating condensation on their exteriors. The overall visual is one of refreshing sweetness and creamy indulgence; the drink’s vibrant color is inviting and suggests a tropical, fruity flavor.
Ingredients:
- - 2 cups ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
- - 1 cup plain yogurt
- - 1/2 cup milk
- - 1/4 cup sugar (or to taste)
- - 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- - Pinch of saffron threads (optional)
- - Ice cubes
- - Chopped pistachios for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- 1. In a blender, combine the chopped mangoes, yogurt, milk, sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron threads (if using). Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This should take approximately 1-2 minutes on high speed.
- 2. Taste the mixture and adjust the sugar according to your preference. You may want to add more if your mangoes aren’t very sweet.
- 3. Add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.
- 4. Blend again for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the ice is finely crushed and the shake is well chilled. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more milk to reach your desired consistency.
- 5. Pour the Mango Lassi Shake into two tall glasses.
- 6. If using, garnish each glass with a sprinkle of chopped pistachios.
- 7. For an extra special touch, you can rim the glasses with a little sugar before pouring in the shake. To do this, moisten the rim of the glass with a little water or milk and then dip it into a small shallow dish of sugar.
- 8. Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing and delicious shake!
