Ingredients:
- - 1 cup plain yogurt
- - 1/2 cup mango chunks (fresh or frozen)
- - 1/4 cup milk (whole milk recommended)
- - 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- - 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- - Pinch of saffron threads (optional, for color and flavor)
- - Ice cubes
- - 1 tablespoon rose water (optional)
Instructions:
- 1. If using frozen mango, let it thaw slightly at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes. This will make blending easier. If using fresh mango, ensure it's ripe and soft.
- 2. Combine the yogurt, mango chunks, milk, honey/maple syrup, cardamom powder, saffron threads (if using), and rose water (if using) in a blender.
- 3. Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of milk at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- 4. Add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.
- 5. Blend again for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the ice is finely crushed and the shake is well chilled.
- 6. Taste the shake and adjust sweetness as needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
- 7. Pour the Mango Lassi Shake into a chilled glass.
