
Eid Special Lamb Chops Recipe

Ingredients:
- - 8 Lamb Chops (about 1 inch thick)
- - 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- - 1 large Onion, finely chopped
- - 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- - 1 inch Ginger, grated
- - 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- - 1 tsp Ground Coriander
- - 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- - 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional)
- - 1/2 cup chopped fresh Cilantro
- - 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
- - Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
- - 1 cup Lamb Stock
- - 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
- 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season lamb chops generously with salt and pepper.
- 2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear lamb chops for 2-3 minutes per side, until nicely browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 3. Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- 4. Stir in ground cumin, coriander, turmeric, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
- 5. Return lamb chops to the skillet. Pour in lamb stock, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer.
- 6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until lamb chops are cooked to your desired doneness. Internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare.
- 7. Remove skillet from oven and stir in chopped cilantro and lemon juice. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 8. Stir in heavy cream and serve immediately. Garnish with extra cilantro, if desired.
