Ingredients:
- - 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- - 4 tablespoons butter
- - 4 cloves garlic, minced
- - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or more, to taste)
- - 1/4 cup dry white wine
- - 1/4 cup lemon juice
- - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- - 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- - Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- - Linguine pasta, cooked al dente according to package directions
Instructions:
- 1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- 2. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- 3. Pour white wine into the skillet and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes, allowing the wine to reduce slightly.
- 4. Stir in lemon juice, parsley, and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 5. Return shrimp to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Simmer for 1 minute to heat through.
- 6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and remove from heat.
- 7. Serve immediately over cooked linguine. Garnish with extra parsley and lemon zest, if desired.
- 8. For an extra touch, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice just before serving.
